My name is Ruben Verdoes, also known on the internet as horsedrowner. This is the name I used when I first started playing Age of Mythology online, and I’ve stuck with it ever since. The name comes from the Hersir unit in the game, which has a unique name that consists of three randomized parts.
Most of my personal projects are hosted on GitHub. Most of these are half-finished programs that I’ve used once or twice and then lost interest in, or that I have stopped working on for other reasons. There are however a few projects I use on a daily basis:
- Superscrot is a program made in C# that captures screenshots and uploads them. It is an alternative to programs such as puush (I want to use my own hosting) and ShareX (it has far too many features I will never use). The result is a program that can take desktop-, window- and manually cropped screenshots and uploads them to an (S)FTP server.
- Imdex is a web project that uses Ruby and Sinatra to serve directory listings using a grid of images. I use it in conjunction with Superscrot to view and manage uploaded screenshots. It can be viewed live at http://s.horsedrowner.net/ or by using the Images link at the bottom of the page.
